Core Responsibilities:

1. Stewardship: Safeguards business resources and ensures accurate financial reporting.

• Invoice Approval: Ensures invoices are properly authorized and recorded in the general ledger.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitors and balances cash inflows and outflows to meet obligations and optimize investments.
• Internal Controls: Develops and oversees company policies, with a focus on spending controls to protect assets and minimize fraud.
• Debt Management: Manages loan agreements and oversees the collection of payments owed by customers.
• Compliance: Ensures adherence to local laws, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial rules.
• Payroll: Handles payroll processing and ensures labor tax compliance.
• External Reporting: Prepares company tax returns and financial statements, including public filings with the BIR and SEC.
• Banking: Establishes and manages banking relationships and accounts.

2. Operator: Efficiently oversees the finance function.

• Audit Coordination: Acts as the primary liaison with external financial, compliance, and tax auditors.
• Budget Management: Develops or assists in creating budgets, leveraging historical data for accuracy.
• Leadership: Leads, mentors, and manages accounting and finance teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• Must be a licensed CPA
• At least 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role (advantage)
• Knowledgeable with Philippine tax laws, labor compliance, and regulatory requirements, including BIR and SEC reporting
