As we expand our services, we are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our growing team and play a key role in managing credit risk and supporting sound lending decisions.
Role Overview:
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential borrowers, analyzing financial data, and ensuring effective risk management practices. This role is crucial in driving responsible lending decisions while supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Assessment & Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive credit evaluations for loan applications by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Assess borrower profiles, repayment capacity, and potential risks to provide clear recommendations.
- Develop financial models to assess risk levels and ensure data-driven decision-making.
Risk Management & Mitigation:
- Identify early warning signs of potential credit risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve credit risk policies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor the performance of approved loans and identify trends that may indicate risk exposure.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed credit assessment reports and provide insights for senior management and lending committees.
- Maintain accurate records of credit reviews, risk assessments, and decision rationales.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with the sales, customer service, and collections teams to gather relevant borrower information.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance credit processes and improve overall loan performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Credit Analyst, preferably in fintech, banking, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of credit evaluation principles, risk assessment models, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present credit insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in consumer lending, SME financing, or B2B credit assessment.
- Familiarity with fintech platforms and digital lending processes.
- Knowledge of Philippine financial regulations and credit risk standards.
