What is Growsari?

Sari-Sari stores are the largest retail channel and source of employment in the country, yet the average store owner barely makes ends meet. This is a disconnect that we want to change.

Our team helps stores digitally procure goods for selling at better prices and free delivery. We then use that same infrastructure to offer hundreds of new ways for stores to earn, such as upgrading them to become bills payment and wallet top-up hubs, e-commerce drop-offs, wi-fi hotspots and even ATMs for their communities.

Today marks 8 years in operation. From doing the first deliveries in our own cars, we are now the market leaders in our space, and have assembled an amazing team of alumni from Uber, Boston Consulting Group, Unilever, P&G, PayMaya, GCash... and even ex-Sari-Sari store owners.

What Challenge Will You Need To Solve?

We solve problems for Sari-Sari store owners, with the goal to help them double their earnings.

The strength that these stores have is a deep connection to their loyal end consumers (known as ‘sukis’), and we want to empower them to monetize these relationships in new ways (think coupons, loyalty programs, social commerce and more) and the impact that can have in growing their business.

From a platform perspective, you will need to help set up scalable ways of capturing and organizing the end consumer data, and then helping them set up new business lines on top of that.

About the Role:

As a Product Associate / Senior Associate for New Verticals, you will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities and shaping the product roadmap for emerging business lines. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive partner acquisition, enhance existing relationships, and support end-to-end product discovery, development, and continuous improvement. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and partnerships—perfect for someone who thrives in building from zero and scaling new solutions.

Product Discovery & Research

•⁠ ⁠Conduct customer research, interviews, and data analysis across different MSME verticals via field visits, calls, and chats to identify pain points and opportunities for new loan products, services, or enhancements

•⁠ ⁠Research the PH market landscape to assess the attractiveness of new verticals, including key players, market size, business models, and regulatory frameworks

•⁠ ⁠Perform SEA competitive analysis to understand industry trends and benchmark against leading financing solutions

Pilot Testing & Product Optimization

•⁠ ⁠Lead pilot testing of loan products by sourcing organic and inorganic leads, conducting field visits, and reviewing the customer journey from KYC to collection

•⁠ ⁠Identify ideal KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) documents as methods for high-quality credit assessment

•⁠ ⁠Identify bottlenecks in the conversion funnel via user feedback and optimize the loan application and disbursement process to improve approval rates and borrower experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration

•⁠ ⁠Work with Design team to create an intuitive loan application experience and optimize user flows for better conversion

•⁠ ⁠Work with Engineering team to conceptualize and launch automated loan application systems and ensure seamless integration with payment platforms

•⁠ ⁠Align with Credit team on underwriting methods and credit scoring frameworks

•⁠ ⁠Gather insights from Field team and agents to enhance loan offerings and improve borrower experience

Experience

•⁠ ⁠1-3 years of experience in B2B partnerships or product management, ideally in a B2B fintech or tech startup

•⁠ ⁠Hands-on experience in partner management to grow existing customer base

•⁠ ⁠Experience in conducting customer / merchant / partner interviews to further improve product offerings

•⁠ ⁠Creativity in launching initiatives

•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
