About the Role:

Company is seeking a highly capable COO for Field Operations to oversee and optimize the company’s bamboo sourcing, processing, and supply chain activities in the Philippines. This role is critical in ensuring smooth on-ground operations, working closely with farmer landowners, process workers, and field teams to build a reliable and scalable supply chain.

The COO will be responsible for operational execution, ensuring efficiency in harvesting, logistics, processing, and reporting. This role requires a leader who understands trade, commercial dealings, and the complexities of working with rural, lower-income, and unbanked communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & SupplyChain Management

• Oversee bamboo harvesting, treatment, and production to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement field operation strategies to scale production while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Establish and optimize the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, and storage.
• Work with engineering and technical teams to set up and maintain machineryand processing infrastructure.

Stakeholder & People Management

• Build strong relationships with farmer landowners, community leaders, and rural cooperatives to ensure sustainable sourcing.
• Manage field teams and process workers, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and productivity.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to ground teams, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with government agencies, local authorities, and regulatory bodies for permits, certifications, and compliance.

Business & Financial Oversight

• Ensure cost-effective operations, optimizing resources while meeting production targets.
• Work closely with the CFO and CEO to align budgets, operational costs, and financial planning with business objectives.
• Oversee field-level reporting, ensuring real-time data on production, inventory, and sales.
• Identify and mitigate risks in operations, supply chain, and workforce management.

Who You Are:

• Filipino national with a deep understanding of the local business and agricultural landscape.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in field operations, supply chain, or agribusiness.
• Experience working with rural communities, unbanked groups, and process workers.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of navigating operational and logistical challenges.
• Experience in trade and commercial dealings, ideally in raw materials or agricultural commodities.
• A people person, strong organizer, and effective leader.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment with a focus on execution.
