JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Account Executive, Spirits Company
Location: Makati, Metro Manila (Hybrid; at least 1 day in the office)
Reports To: On Trade Lead/Local Brand Ambassador
About the Role:
The Account Executive (On-Trade) plays a key role in expanding the presence and business of our spirits portfolio in the Philippines. This role supports the Local Brand Ambassador and On-Trade Lead in driving sales, securing partnerships, executing programs, and strengthening relationships within the on-trade sector. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional who enjoys going out to account, with a strong passion for the spirits industry, and a proven ability to develop and manage accounts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Business Development
- Visit at least 40 on-trade accounts monthly, either independently, with the Local Brand Ambassador, or with the distributor. Within those 40 visits, at least 8 days must be with the distributor’s sales team.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in bars, restaurants, and other on-trade outlets.
- Drive new business by securing a minimum of 8 new listings or partnerships monthly (i.e. participation in brand programs, events, or activations)
- Reactivate at least 2 previously listed accounts per month.
- Oversee the end-to-end management of signed accounts, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with agreements.
Trade Engagement & Program Execution
- Work closely with the distributor’s sales team to drive product penetration and visibility in on-trade accounts.
- Support the Local Brand Ambassador in executing brand education sessions, activations, and trade engagement initiatives.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of select on-trade programs and promotions, ensuring proper planning, implementation, and tracking of results.
- Assist in developing promotional activities that enhance brand presence and sales performance, while continuously evaluating effectiveness for optimization.
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor sales performance, account status, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide regular reports on account visits, distributor engagements, and business development progress.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of activations and marketing programs to optimize future initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, account management, or trade marketing within the spirits, beverage, or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of the on-trade sector, including bars, restaurants, and nightlife venues.
- Experience working with distributors and managing trade partnerships is a plus.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Passion for the spirits industry and willingness to engage in brand-building activities.
