Commercial Manager
Job Summary:
This role is responsible for driving commercial growth and building strong client relationships across the APAC region, with the main base in the Philippines. The manager will develop and implement business strategies, identify new opportunities, and oversee trade and distribution projects in key markets.
In the Philippines, the role will also manage both on-premise (bars, restaurants) and off-premise (retail) channels, working closely with distributor partners to ensure sales growth, wider distribution, and strong brand performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Distributor Management
Contract management for both partners (with representation to S&R as a special arrangement)
Set goals and targets for distributors, cascade and adhere to it to achieve FY
Sales depletion and management /monitoring of customer SIT
Monthly competitive activation and pricing reports from both distributors and direct accounts
Establish consistent Merchandising & Planogram
SKU Channel strategy implementation
Maintain pricing objectives
Establish relationships with key accounts & distributors
Bi-weekly meetings with main distributors
Periodic trade visits with specific agenda (weekly/monthly for local/ external markets)
QBR setting for team and APAC head with distributors
Sales
Achieve annual company sales target and deliver volume growth
Work with distributor/s and key accounts to generate annual volume forecast
Gain additional SKU listings in account universe
Obtain retail displays / signage
Sell in of promo packs and NPDs
Work with marketing on partnership trade deals including budget management and drafting of proposals
Opportunity creation: create a pipeline of leads for key accounts
Account Universe
Help grow universe through work-withs and customer engagement
Account universe tracking reports (where we are, opportunities etc.)
Maintain and update Account Universe templates
Segmentation report (bar/resto/club etc.)
Store listing compliance
Account retention
Customer Engagement
Monthly store checks of retail universe
Arrange monthly/quarterly training where needed with key retail and PO accounts
Build strong relationships with Retail and OP key accounts
Requirements:
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Working knowledge of office equipment
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) or similar office suite like G Suite
Excellent time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
College graduate (with marketing experience is a plus)
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Depth in understanding the brand, its business model, its customers and its consumers
Team player with a good sense of leadership traits
Ability to adhere to corporate policies
At least 5 years of valid sales experience locally/regionally/globally
