The company provides infrastructure and tools to transform these stores into comprehensive service hubs for grassroots communities. The platform offers affordable inventory, working capital loans to sari-sari store owners, whilst generating crucial data and insights for manufacturers and distributors.
About the role
We are seeking a skilled Tax Specialist to manage tax compliance and provide financial reporting support across multiple legal entities. The role ensures accurate preparation and timely filing of all monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, proper issuance of withholding tax certificates, and maintenance of organized compliance documentation. The Tax Specialist will also play a key role in supporting financial statement tax schedules and managing BIR audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly & Quarterly Compliance: Prepare, review, and sign off on VAT, EWT, FWT, DST, and other applicable returns. Ensure timely e-filing and e-payment, including supporting attachments and reconciliations.
- Annual Compliance: Prepare annual alphalists and Forms 1604E/F; support annual income tax return preparation with proper documentation. Maintain and refine compliance checklists and calendars.
- Financial Statement Support: Assist in preparing tax computations and schedules for external audits; provide required schedules and disclosures.
- BIR Audits: Lead and manage audits, including LOA review, schedule preparation, variance analysis, documentation, and drafting responses to findings. Coordinate with external tax counsel and represent the company during BIR meetings.
- Other Compliance Tasks: Ensure accurate issuance of BIR 2307, vendor/customer accreditation, ATC mapping, and books-to-return matching.
Qualifications
- Licensed CPA with 5-6 years of experience in Philippine national and local taxes.
- Experience with BIR audits and Transfer Pricing is a plus.
- Background in Big Four or similar in-house tax roles, preferably in F&B, retail, consumer goods, or e-commerce.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is advantageous.
