The Lunch Lady, a Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee, brings the bold flavors of Saigon street food to life. Now expanding to the Philippines, we’re looking for passionate talent to join us in delivering authentic flavors and exceptional hospitality.
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and excellence in service. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance administrative management with hands-on oversight, while fostering a culture of warmth, inclusivity, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
● Oversee financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
● Manage administrative functions such as compliance, and performance reviews.
● Lead recruitment, training, and professional development of staff.
● Monitor and optimize operational systems: staffing, inventory, quality control, and cleanliness.
● Ensure outstanding guest experiences by addressing feedback and maintaining service standards.
● Collaborate with ownership on strategic initiatives and long-term growth.
● Uphold The Lunch Lady’s brand values, culture, and service excellence.
Qualifications
● Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in high-volume settings (150+ seats).
● Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills (Speaking English is an asset but not required).
● Expertise in budgeting, cost management, and scheduling.
● Passion for hospitality with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
● Resilient under pressure with sound decision-making ability.
● Tech-savvy with a focus on operational efficiency.
● Knowledge about Vietnamese cuisine and The Lunch Lady brand is an asset but not required.
